Yasunarys "Cuba" Delgado
Yasunarys “Cuba” Delgado came to the Durham Rescue Mission in January of 2019 seeking God, a change in his life battling addiction, and a life of crime to support his drug habit. He was tired of the same results so he had to make a change. He had lost it all in my life. His family was tired of his addiction so he was homeless with no job.
Cuba’s first few months at the Rescue Mission were hard because he was not used to following rules and had no discipline. A counselor told him about the Victory Program from which he joined and graduated. The most important thing he gained was a close relationship with GOD. He has been at the Rescue Mission going on 4 years. He has his family and children back in his life and is genuinely happy.
God, through the Durham Rescue Mission, has saved and changed Cuba’s life. Coming to the Rescue Mission was the best decision he had ever made. Miracles happen every day at the Rescue Mission; he is one of those miracles. The Rescue Mission is his home and everyone here is his family.
The most important person Cuba would like to thank is God for everything He has done for him. To God be the glory!
